Girl Interrupted
My grandfather passed away early this morning; in his sleep.
I was very close to my grandfather.
He had been a father to me when my father was conveniently unavailable most of my young childhood.
I loved my grandfather very much. My heart breaks today.
I ask that you be patient while I bereave.
Loss and grief, is not sexy.

oh sweetie! *big giant enormous hug* i'm so sad for your loss. losing a loved one sucks. anyway know that i am sending energy your way and that you don't have to be sexy for us to love you.
As someone with an uncle who has a 50-50 chance of surviving the weekend, you and your family have my deepest sympathies.

Dom - I wish you the best with your uncle. Make sure you have the closure you need with him, should you have the chance. Were you close to your uncle as I was to my Grandfather?
I guess I won't spend anymore Sundays going over to visit him...

My uncle died this Sat afternoon when taken off life support. While we were never extremely close, he was a kind, genuine, and giving person who I will miss.
He had one of the coolest outdoor Christmas light displays in the area each year and cheerful holiday memories are what I'll remember and miss the most.
We, with heavy hearts, miss you, darlin'.
