Just a Taste
Okay Fine. Dozer Dammit... nice rant, and way to go for making me re-post this. Why do I love you for putting me in my place. And to those of you that quickly called me on the 'stop being such a bitch'... THIS is what happens when you go a whole WEEK without sex. Pity me dammit. Pity me. I'm sharing an un-finished product with you today.
Why? I seriously don't know... Perhaps I feel all 'deep' and 'insightful' today.
I think it's actually a good start to my next submission/story... and it was only lately when reading it back to myself that I decided this would be a kick-ass thought to share with all of you.
Will I share the rest of the story? Perhaps. It depends on how it turns out... I can be pursueded of course. But for now I keep it my secret until completion.
That said, enjoy and have a great weekend to all. Oh, and I better see some really great comments from this shit right here... if not, you didn't read it thoroughly.
Why do we blog?
Ask yourself that question.
Really, is it to express our deepest opinions and emotions to an audience we may never face? Perhaps to catalog what we live on a daily basis through emotional strata-tude. For some it may be a reaching out to meet new people, make friends, dream the dream of being accepted for your mind not your body. Maybe even to fall in love.
For others it may be to self-promote their ego, as if trying to sell who they are through the eyes of literary blindness, some times even forcefully. And then there are those who peddle their skills to us, all-mighty consumers we are… hoping to hit it big and be discovered.
I hope you have your answer.
And if it was “a little all of the above” then you’re sitting where I’m sitting.

as for the other ... I am, therefore I blog.
Sometimes I just need to write, and I might as well write for an audience. What comes out could be something frivolous, goofy, serious, deep, shallow. It could be a poem I worked on for hours, or a ditty I slapped together, or a story that has hidden shadings of meanings.
I'm a word whore. I love the written word — both writing it and reading it. I love being complimented on my writing, but I actually enjoy it more when someone offers me true constructive criticism that helps me become a better writer than I am right now. I love editors, and editing. I love writers, and writing.
I love being able to express complexities with a few sentences, or to elevate the banal with spiraling curves of bullshit that sounds deep and true.
Sometimes I write because I just need to get something out of my head, heart or mind. I need the cathartic release.
I like providing people with insight into my character, personality and twisted mind. Even more, I enjoy making people think what I write gives them insight into my character, personality and twisted mind.
Sometimes there is nothing better than a double-reverse fake mind fuck.
I enjoy playing with words and ideas. I love wordplay and wordwork.
It's a great feeling to open someone's eyes — or soul, or mind — to something new, to something different. Or to make them re-evaluate the things they take for granted, to see the common and ordinary in uncommon and unordinary ways.
Fuck ... I just love to write, to express, to blog.
What can compare to making a woman wet with desire and lust with the pattern of words you employ in a delicate erotica piece? How can you beat making the thoughts that you have meticulously crafted into written word firing the desire of another person, making them long for the touch of something physical from your mental exercises?
How can you top a few perfectly placed words making someone cry? Or how a bit of scattered doggerel can make someone a half a world away, who doesn't even really know you, laugh out loud?
I mean, seriously ... come the fuck on!!!

but for me... blogging is a way to get to know myself in another medium while at the same time allowing me to feed my fascination with all things human behaviour.
If i weren't a teacher i'm certain that i would be an anthropologist and that i would enjoy it a lot.
still and all, it's about figuring myself out and often the hidden things people see in my posts enlighten me more than they.

Sass- I can identify with your comment so much... sometimes the hidden things that people find and or comment about... can add a sort of wake up call to the agenda. Even enlightenment sometimes. Well, this happens a whole lot more on your blog than mine... but still.
yeah you've done that to me a few times now actually as have most of my regulars at least once though not always in comment form.
